Why do you write?#

The convenience of modern science lies in the fact that we can bridge the gap between ourselves and geniuses through technology, allowing our minds to be sublimated and showcasing our talents. I have the desire to express myself and the demand for thinking, and writing is a process that can fully bring about speculation and growth. So what is speculation? I like this quote:

There are two types of knowledge. The first type focuses on understanding the names of things, which is what most of us are concerned about. The second type focuses on understanding the essence of things.

This is why we always think that reading a book means understanding it. We have been blinded by this kind of understanding with professional terms. True understanding should be based on the essence and be able to establish cross-scenario connections. This brings us to the well-known Feynman technique.

What is the Feynman technique?#

The Feynman technique is to explain something in the simplest way possible through one's own words, so that everyone can understand it. For example, how would I explain the concept of mind maps? Simply put, it is like a "photo wall of criminal cases", visualizing and keying information. This is what I mean by simple cross-scenario connections. It can break away from specific contextual environments and form the "minimum information element".

Steps to practice the Feynman technique!!!#

1. Step 1: Teach it to a child.
   The vocabulary and understanding of a child are at a level where they can grasp basic concepts and relationships. Teaching these children can be used to judge one's understanding of a concept. When you get stuck, you will know which part you don't understand.

2. Step 2: Review.

   • Go back to the original material and re-understand it. If necessary, do thematic reading and search for information on difficult points using tools like Google. The most important thing to note when using mind map tools is that they are a visual learning method that assists in thinking, creates associations, and is driven by keywords, rather than just a checklist tool.

This does not mean that reducing the length of the text is the key, but rather considering ease of understanding. This is also a communication skill.    • Which one of the above two is more conducive to understanding and memorization? Naturally, it is the second one. Combined with a map, if visual processing, hook memory, and memory palace techniques are added, it will be easier to remember.

4. Step 4 (optional): Teach

   • The ultimate way to test knowledge is to have the ability to effectively disseminate it. Since we cannot always have an 8-year-old child around to practice with, writing becomes the most important way of thinking. It allows us to break down and reassemble ideas. Domain Name Purchase & Filing Application#

Domain names can be purchased from various cloud service providers. I bought my domain name from Alibaba Cloud, and the filing is done through the service provided by each service provider. Because we are using the free Sanfengyun for setup, it is recommended to purchase the domain name from Sanfengyun to avoid issues with third-party domain name resolution. The domain name filing requires filling in the corresponding materials according to the requirements, and it takes some time for the application to be approved. During this time, the free filing service of Sanfengyun can be used to get through this period, but due to the redirection through overseas servers, the access speed is a drawback, so you need to be patient.

Website Building Process#

After the preparations are completed, we can now officially enter the setup process. This process is not complicated, so please enjoy it. If you encounter domain name issues during the process, you can refer to the troubleshooting section at the end for quick reference.

Sanfengyun - PHP Version Issue#

Many plugins and themes have requirements for the PHP version. You may encounter a problem of a low PHP version when selecting an update in the WordPress backend dashboard. In this case, you need to make the settings in the Sanfengyun Free Virtual Host Management Panel.

Sanfengyun - Third-Party Domain Name Resolution Issue#

1. First, we need to submit the purchased domain name in the Sanfengyun Free Filing Service.
   
   Here, remember the corresponding alias address. This is a CNAME record that can be copied first and will be used later. This will be used when adding the resolution record in the domain name management.

2. Add resolution records at the third-party service provider where the domain name was purchased. Here, I will use Alibaba Cloud Domain Control Panel as an example.
   
   
   Here, start adding the previously copied CNAME record. The "@" line is required, and "www" is a subdomain. You can ignore it if you don't consider subdomains.

3. After adding the resolution records, wait for some time and check whether the DNS service provider has completed the resolution. We can use the Alibaba Cloud Website Operation and Maintenance Detection Platform to check.
   
   Here, we can see that the resolution has been completed. The CNAME record and the corresponding IP can be obtained. Before this step is completed, we cannot access the purchased domain name. We need to wait for a certain period of time for the DNS service resolution system to complete the resolution.

4. Update the website domain name in the WordPress backend dashboard.
   
   We need to fill in the purchased domain name here and click the update button. If there are no issues, the modification will be synchronized to the database, and there is no need to modify it again in the MySQL database. After the modification is completed, the old domain name will automatically redirect to the new domain name. Remember to save the bookmark for easy access to the backend next time.
